  I pre-booked a table for lunch on Thursday at 1pm for myself and an out of town guest. We arrived at 12.50. No-one approached us to show us to our seats and I had to find someone. We waited until shortly after 1pm for a menu. At about 1.20 I went inside and told one of the staff we wondered when our food would arrive as we had a movie to go to next door at 1.45. I was told they "couldn't go any faster" than they were already. I didn't think this was very helpful or polite. While there were quite a few tables occupied the restaurant was not full. We received our food at 1.25 and had to eat quickly in order to finish, pay and be at the Globe by 1.45. We didn't enjoy the meal as a result and I was embarrassed as I had wanted to show my guest some quality Hawke's Bay food and service.
